Complaints of water were received, the DM sent the officials of Jal Sansthan and Drinking Water Corporation to the spot, asked for ATR in half an hour

Under the Government at the Doorstep program, a large multi-purpose camp was organized on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Savin Bansal to facilitate the resolution of public problems. Villagers registered 166 complaints and grievances at the camp in Baisogilani, a remote area of ​​Utail in the Kalsi development block. The District Magistrate listened to all the issues seriously and resolved 56 of them on the spot. He directed the concerned officials to prioritize the issues at the departmental and government levels. The camp provided free health checkups for over 442 people, issued 25 Ayushman cards, 10 disabled cards, 15 Aadhaar cards, and other certificates, and provided information about public welfare schemes to the area. The District Magistrate also inspected the stalls set up at the camp and urged the public to take advantage of departmental schemes.

Amidst the uneven, hilly road and foggy weather, the DM, accompanied by the administrative staff, reached the public’s doorsteps in Utail-Baisogilani. Upon receiving complaints about water shortages, the DM rushed officials from the Jal Sansthan and the Drinking Water Corporation to the scene and requested an ATR within half an hour. He also waived the 15,000 electricity bill of poor Johar Singh, a resident of Utail, and approved payment from the Rifle Fund. Responding to
the residents of the Kalsi headquarters area’s demand for garbage disposal, the DM directed the SDM to select government land and arrange for garbage disposal through the AMA (District Panchayat) and District Panchayat. A complaint of agricultural land damage in the Amrao area prompted the Chief Agriculture Officer to submit a damage assessment report within a week. Addressing the issue of roads constructed by the District Panchayat and the Block falling into disrepair due to lack of funds, the DM approved funds on the spot and directed the PWD to immediately repair the road.

The District Magistrate, after listening to all the problems and complaints, directed the concerned officials to take the public’s issues seriously and resolve them in a timely manner. No complaint should remain unnecessarily pending at any level.

The District Magistrate, while inspecting the stalls at the camp, provided a farm machinery bank worth Rs 5 lakh and a subsidy cheque of Rs 4 lakh to the NRLM group ‘Nayi Disha Mahila Self Help Group’ under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme through the Agriculture Department. A cheque of Rs 5 lakh was given to the Shiv Krishak Self Help Group through the Cooperative Department and a cheque of Rs 1.60 lakh to animal husbandry farmer Sandeep Chauhan. Under the Nutrition Month, the Child Development and Women Empowerment Department distributed three baby showers, three Annaprasan (food offerings), nutrition kits to three malnourished children, 10 adolescent nutrition and hygiene kits, and five Mahalakshmi kits. Under the ‘Vayoshree Yojana’ through the Social Welfare Department, assistive devices were distributed to 62 senior citizens and wheelchairs to two disabled people.

In the camp, villagers from villages Thena, Utail, Kahanaira Punah, Bhagna, Vadhana, Khatar, Kopti, Bhandrota, Gothan, Visoi etc. raised problems related to roads, drinking water, electricity, education, irrigation, construction of properties damaged in natural calamities, birth certificate, financial assistance, compensation etc.

Most of the complaints received in the camp were related to roads and damaged drinking water lines. The residents of Lohadi village, affected by Lakhwad and Vyasi dam, demanded proper compensation for the acquired land. In village Kahanaira, when drinking water lines, culverts and roads were damaged due to the disaster, the District Magistrate directed to provide a proposal in the disaster. On the issue of connecting the electricity line of the village to Haripur, it was told that its estimate has been sent. On the problem of damaged drinking water line in village Sarsona Baisogilani, Dadoh, the DM directed the Water Institute and the Corporation to take immediate action for the construction of drinking water line.

Addressing the issue of lack of road maintenance in Gram Panchayat Banjara due to the road not being transferred to PWD, the DM directed PMGSY and PWD to conduct a joint inspection and take immediate action for the transfer. Residents of the area directed PWD to take immediate action on the issue of lack of clearing of bushes on the Panjia motorway.

Regarding various arrangements and problems in the ANM center in village Khatar, the DM instructed the CMO to inspect the center and rectify the arrangements. He asked for a survey to be conducted for laying a new electricity line from Kofti to Bhugad. On the complaint of the area residents about not getting the benefits of the Fisheries Department’s scheme, the DM instructed the department to set up camps in the area to connect the farmers with fisheries and provide them the benefits of the scheme. He also instructed to take action on opening an agriculture and animal husbandry vaccination center in Besogilani, setting up a multipurpose camp in Pajit Ilaani, and opening a mini Anganwadi center in Bhandrota. During this, the District Magistrate listened to all the problems of the area residents one by one and instructed the departments to resolve the problems on priority.

More than 555 people benefited from the stalls of 25 departments in the multi-purpose camp. Allopathic doctors conducted health check-ups for 268 people and distributed free medicines. 25 Ayushman cards and 10 disability certificates were issued. Homeopathy conducted health check-ups for 140 people and distributed free medicines. Social Welfare approved pensions for six elderly people, one widow, and 10 disabled people. Assistive devices like waist belts, knee belts, walking sticks, etc. were distributed to 62 elderly people. The Panchayati Raj Department benefited 15 people by providing copies of seven family registers, eight birth and death registers, and 12 new ration card applications. The Revenue Department issued 11 income, caste, and permanent certificates. Aadhaar updates and new Aadhaar cards were also made for 15 people at the camp.

The Agriculture Department distributed PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to 36 people, small agricultural equipment and medicines to 68 farmers, and the Horticulture Department distributed horticultural tools, vegetable seeds, pesticides, and garden cards to 23 people. The Animal Husbandry Department distributed free medicines to prevent animal diseases to 50 livestock farmers. The Cooperative Department registered and renewed labor cards for seven beneficiaries, the Tourism Department registered nine beneficiaries, and the Labor Department registered 33 laborers. Child Development distributed nine Mahalakshmi kits and ten Kishori kits. The Supply Department resolved 20 ration card-related complaints, and Employment provided career counseling to 14 youth. The Fisheries Department resolved 25 problems, Dairy 15, PNB nine, and the Electricity Department seven. During the meeting, department officials also provided information about public welfare schemes operated by their departments.
