New Delhi: Mother Dairy has announced a hike of ₹2 per litre across all its liquid milk variants. The revised prices will come into effect from May 14, 2026. Earlier, Amul had also increased milk prices.
According to the company, the decision was taken due to rising milk procurement costs from farmers and higher production expenses. With the new rates coming into force, consumers in Delhi-NCR and several other cities will have to pay more for milk.
Mother Dairy stated that increasing operational costs were directly impacting dairy operations, making a price revision necessary. The company added that the move is aimed at ensuring better payments to farmers while maintaining a stable milk supply.
The rise in milk prices is expected to affect household budgets, especially for families with high daily consumption of milk and dairy products. Amid rising inflation, the increase is being seen as another burden on consumers.
The revised prices will be applicable from Thursday morning in New Delhi and several other regions across the country.
