A list of those working and those listed with it has been sought from the Central Public Works Department ‘CPWD’.
“It was observed by the central agencies that contractors and firms were directly or indirectly, directly or indirectly, with terrorist organizations and terrorists managing the allocation of government works in their favor in various departments,” the sources said. A special unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police had written a letter to the central departments concerned a few weeks ago, asking them to keep a watch on such incidents. Departments of the central government have written letters to the agencies concerned, seeking their answers by this week.
Details of contractors and firms summoned
CPWD has been asked to provide details of contractors and firms involved in government work, big or small, in J&K. Sources said government agencies will identify the details of these individuals and firms. The department has been asked to consider the matter urgently and provide details by this week.
