Vaishali. Due to the activeness of a passenger going from Darbhanga to Mumbai in Bihar’s Vaishali district, a major train accident was averted, otherwise an incident like Balasore ( Balasore ) in Odisha could have happened. In fact, as soon as the Pawan Express going from Jaynagar to Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminal opened from Muzaffarpur, a sound started coming from the train, which neither the driver of the train nor the guard of the train was aware of.
But, something happened to Rajesh Das of Darbhanga who was traveling in the S11 bogie of the train, but before he could understand anything, the train had reached Bhagwanpur station. As soon as the train stopped, Rajesh peeped under the train and came to know that one wheel of the train under the S11 bogie was broken by about 10 inches. By the time he could tell something to the driver of the train, the train opened again.
But Rajesh informed about the incident to other passengers traveling in the train and requested to do chain pulling, after which a passenger did chain pulling and when the train stopped, the information about breaking of the wheel was given to the driver and other personnel of the train. The train had stopped at Bhagwanpur at 6:10, so the railway personnel informed the senior officials about the incident. Then a team of experts from Sonpur Railway Division reached Bhagwanpur with an additional bogie and the train was dispatched after about 5 hours 10 minutes i.e. at 11.20 pm, after which the passengers heaved a sigh of relief.
Let me tell you, if the passenger had not shown activism on time, then a big train accident could have happened. In such a situation, the question arises that why the railways does not investigate long distance trains and if the investigation was done before the train started, then who was negligent or there is no conspiracy behind this incident. However, a major railway accident has been averted and along with the passengers, the officers and personnel of the railway have also got relief.
