Mumbai: Mumbai (Mumbai) suburban train services will be affected on Sunday, January 19, 2024 due to a mega block for engineering and maintenance works on the Central, Harbour and Western lines. On the Central line, Matunga-Mulund up and down slow lines will be affected from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. On the Transharbour line, services between Thane-Vashi/Nerul up and down lines will remain suspended from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm. Western Railway will also keep a mega block between Borivali-Bhayander up fast line from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. These blocks are necessary for infrastructure maintenance and safety. Passengers are advised to plan accordingly and cooperate with the railway administration during this period.

DN Fast line services leaving CSMT Mumbai from 10.58 am to 3.10 pm will be diverted to DN Slow at Matunga as per their respective halts between Matunga and Mulund station and will arrive at destination 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted to DN Fast line at Mulund station.
Up Fast line services leaving Thane from 11.25 am to 3.27 pm will be diverted to Up Slow line at Mulund, will halt as per their respective halts between Mulund and Matunga stations and will be re-diverted to Up Fast line at Matunga station and will arrive at destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
Suburban services between Neral and Khopoli will remain cancelled during the block period. Karjat-Khopoli local departing from Karjat at 12.00 hrs and 13.15 hrs and Khopoli-Karjat local departing from Khopoli at 11.20 hrs and 12.40 hrs will remain cancelled.
CSMT-Karjat local departing from CSMT from 09.27 hrs to 11.14 hrs will be terminated at Neral station.
Karjat-CSMT local departing from Karjat from 11.19 hrs to 13.00 hrs will originate from Neral.
No block in Harbour Line
Block will be applicable on Trans Harbour Line.
Up Trans-Harbour line services towards Thane departing from Vashi at 10.25 am and Nerul at 04.09 pm and Down Trans-Harbour line services towards Vashi/Nerul/Panvel departing from Thane from 10.35 am to 4.07 pm will remain suspended.
No block in Urban Lime
Western Line
To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a four hour jumbo block will be taken on Up fast line between Bhayander and Borivali stations on Sunday, 19 January, 2025 from 09:30 hrs to 13:30 hrs.
During the block period, all Up fast line trains will be operated on Up slow line between Virar/Vasai Road – Borivali stations. Due to this some suburban services will remain cancelled.
