Haryana Assembly Elections: Congress has released the second list of candidates for Haryana  (Haryana) Assembly elections. In this list, the party has announced candidates on nine seats. With this, the party has fielded its candidates on a total of 41 seats out of 90 in the state. Congress has given ticket to Chaudhary Birendra Singh’s son Bijendra Singh from Uchana. Bijendra Singh was an MP from BJP, but joined Congress before the Lok Sabha elections. Now he has been given ticket in the assembly elections. Former Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Sharma has got ticket from Ganaur Assembly.

Congress released the first list for Haryana Assembly elections on September 7. There were 31 names in the first list. Vinesh Phogat, who recently joined Congress, has been given ticket from Julana seat. Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have joined the Congress ahead of the Haryana assembly elections.

Mev Singh gets ticket against CM Saini

Congress has fielded Mev Singh against Haryana Chief Minister and BJP leader Nayab Singh Saini. Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has been fielded from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat. Surendra Panwar from Sonipat, Jagbir Singh Malik from Gohana and Bharat Bhushan Batra from Rohtak have been given tickets. Pradeep Chaudhary from Kalka assembly seat, Shaili Chaudhary from Narayangarh seat, Renu Bala from Sadhaura, Bishan Lal Saini from Radaur, Meva Singh from Ladwa, Ram Karan from Shahabad, Dharampal Gondar from Nilokheri have been given tickets.

Counting of votes on October 8 in Haryana

The Election Commission has extended the counting date for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir elections from October 4 to October 8. The notification for elections in Haryana will be issued on September 5. The last date for nomination will be September 12. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on September 13. Candidates can withdraw their nominations till September 16. Voting will be held on October 5. Voting will be held simultaneously on all 90 seats in Haryana.
