Rashmi Verma, BJP MLA from Narkatiaganj in West Champaran district, has registered a case of kidnapping for extortion of two crores i ( 2 crores) n Motihari Nagar police station, while four people including Rashmi Verma have also been booked under several serious sections including the Arms Act. According to the registered FIR, the woman MLA has been abducted from the capital Patna at gunpoint and an extortion of two crores has been demanded and if she does not give, she has been threatened with death.

However, after the relatives of the MLA reached, the matter of freeing them has also come to the fore. Two days later, the MLA lodged a nominated FIR in the local city police station on Thursday regarding the incident. In the application given to the police, it has been said that Sanjay Sarangpuri, a resident of Agarwa, located near the district school of Motihari city, was following me for several days. He is my former acquaintance. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, when she left the assembly, Sanjay called her in his car in the name of urgent work. Pointed the gun while sitting in the car. There was also a driver in that vehicle. Together they forcibly brought me from Patna to Motihari and demanded an extortion of two crores.

The woman MLA alleges that she and her relatives were threatened to be killed for not paying the extortion money. After some time, some family members reached there searching. Meanwhile, Sanjay’s relatives and acquaintances also came and started firing at him. Meanwhile, after the arrival of my family members, the family members somehow saved their lives and fled from there. After the application given by the MLA, Agarwa resident Sanjay Sarangpuri has also filed a case against MLA Rashmi Verma, her son Anshu Kumar, servant Chhotu and driver Jitendra by giving an application in the city police station.

Case against MLA as well

It is alleged in the case that all the nominees reached my house and looted jewelery worth three lakhs after looting the house. Along with beating, he also threatened to kill. Police Inspector of Nagar Police Station Vishwamohan Chaudhary told in this matter that the FIR has been registered, along with the investigation is going on. Action will be taken against the guilty after the investigation.

SP said

In this case, Motihari SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra told that an FIR has been lodged on behalf of the MLA. At the same time, Sanjay Sarangpuri has filed a case against the MLA as well. Both the cases are being investigated. Prima facie kidnapping is not confirmed. The whole matter is being investigated thoroughly. The SP said that a case related to fraud has been registered against the MLA in the city police station in the past as well.
