‘ These speculations from Sharad and Ajit’s meetings(meetings)

Mumbai. The recent meeting  (meetings) between Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar has again fueled speculation that something is still going on in the party. After Shiv Sena, NCP was the second party which split. Last month on July 2, Ajit Pawar joined the CM Eknath Shinde-Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis government along with eight other NCP MLAs.

One thing is also to be noted here that this meeting between senior and junior Pawar in Pune on August 12 was not the first, but the fourth meeting after the rift in NCP. The agenda of these meetings was said to be the same every time and that was to persuade Sharad Pawar to join the anti-Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) camp and seek his blessings.

The last meeting between uncle and nephew took place at the bungalow of a well-known industrialist, who is said to be close to both. According to sources, this fourth meeting also resulted in the same result as the first three… i.e. Sharad Pawar is adamant on staying with the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), the opposition front against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its coalition pattern Had happened

Senior Pawar also refused to describe the meeting as ‘secret’. Talking to the media on Sunday, Sharad Pawar said, ‘As a senior member of the family, anyone can meet me. What is wrong in meeting a family member?…The real NCP will not join hands with the BJP.

Ajit’s support, Pawar’s opposition
Ajit Pawar is constantly trying to hold talks with his uncle Sharad Pawar to keep his party united before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Ajit is of the opinion that Sharad Pawar, along with the rest of the Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Members of Parliament (MPs) and other leaders, should support PM Modi’s vision and accept his decision to join the Sena-BJP government in the state. should do.

Ajit has also started work to bring PM Modi back to power in the year 2024, while Sharad Pawar will guide Uddhav Thackeray in the next meeting of the opposition front ‘India’ in Mumbai. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar’s daughter and MP Supriya Sule was recently seen attacking the Modi government during a debate in the House.

Broken in NCP but all calm
Despite all this, both the factions of NCP are silent on ‘Partition’. The leaders of both the parties are not saying anything about this or even criticizing each other’s stand. Insiders say that both the factions are going about their day-to-day business as if nothing has changed. According to a source, this has created an atmosphere of suspicion not only among the coalition partners of the MVA, but also in the Sena-BJP camp.

There is also talk in the political circles of Maharashtra that both the factions of NCP are currently playing a safe game and they may reunite after the 2024 general elections considering the situation at that time.

Meanwhile, there is also a discussion that Ajit wants to have Sharad Pawar on his side, as he does not want the division to continue and he also wants other MLAs to be part of the government. Ajit has expressed his desire to hold talks with CM Shinde and Fadnavis on ministerial berths for those leaders.

A member of the Pawar family has taken the initiative to initiate talks with Ajit camp leader Praful Patel on how the two leaders can resolve their differences. Media reports also suggest that several meetings have taken place between Patel and the family member, which finally resulted in last weekend’s meeting in Pune.

According to an NCP source, a leader close to Sharad Pawar has been approached by the BJP on more than two occasions, but has asked him to persuade Sharad Pawar first.

Actually Ajit realizes the power of his uncle. A hallmark of this was seen when one of his speeches turned the whole game of a strong candidate like Udyanraje Bhosale in the Satara Lok Sabha by-election, which led to the victory of Congress’s Srinivas Patil.
