Yamuna’s (Yamuna)water level recorded 205.39 meters

New Delhi. The continuous torrential rains in the hilly states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have also started raising the concern of Delhi. Here the water level of Yamuna river crossed the danger mark once again. According to the website of the Central Water Commission, the water level of Yamuna  (Yamuna) was recorded at 205.39 meters at the old railway bridge at 10 pm on Tuesday, which is above the danger mark of 205.33 metres.

On the other hand, the flow rate of water at Hathinikund barrage in Yamunanagar in Haryana has also increased to 75,000 cusecs, which is the highest since July 26. In such a situation, the people of Delhi are once again worried about unprecedented waterlogging and floods like mid-July. The river flowed above the danger mark of 205.33 meters in the capital for eight consecutive days from July 10. During this, on July 13, the level of Yamuna river had reached a record 208.66 meters. Due to this flood, more than 27,000 people were evacuated to safer places. During this, there was a loss of crores of rupees in terms of property, business etc.

‘The chances of the situation becoming serious are less’
However, amidst these fears of Yamuna flooding once again, an official of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department of the Delhi government said that the water level of the river will rise in Delhi, but there is no possibility of a serious situation arising out of it. The official said that low-lying areas along the river may be inundated, but there is little chance of the situation becoming serious. He said, ‘We are monitoring the situation. The water level may increase, but there is no possibility of a serious situation.
Heavy destruction due to rain in Himachal-Uttarakhand
Let us tell you that the torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand had caused huge devastation on Monday. In Himachal alone, at least 53 people have died due to this rain. At the same time, the death of 3 people has been confirmed in Uttarakhand, while 5 others went missing.

Due to this torrential rain, many buildings were damaged and landslides occurred in both the states. Here the national highways leading to Badrinath, Kedarnath and Gangotri temples were damaged, due to which the Char Dham Yatra had to be stopped.
