Delhi/Jind: Rekha Gupta, (Rekha Gupta,) elected MLA on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. In the presence of central observers at the Delhi State BJP office, she was unanimously elected as the leader of the party legislative party. She has become MLA for the first time from Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh assembly seat. As soon as Rekha Gupta’s name was announced, celebrations started in Jind, Haryana as well. Let us tell you that Nandgarh village of Jind’s Julana area is Rekha Gupta’s ancestral village.
‘A proud moment for the entire Agrawal community and Jind’
All India Agrawal Samaj Haryana’s state president Dr. Rajkumar Goyal expressed happiness over Rekha Gupta being elected as the Chief Minister and said that this is a proud moment for the entire Agrawal community and Jind. Goyal said that Rekha Gupta has proved that with hard work, determination and spirit of social service, anyone can touch heights. He expressed hope that under the leadership of Rekha Gupta, Delhi will touch new heights of development and her government will work for the people.
Officers of Agrawal Samaj expressed happiness
It is a coincidence that AAP supremo and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s ancestral village is also in Haryana and he also belongs to the Agrawal Samaj. Agrawal Samaj officials Ramdhan Jain, Sawar Garg, Pawan Bansal, Sonu Jain, Manish Garg also expressed happiness on Rekha Gupta’s historic achievement. Manish Garg said, ‘It is a matter of great pride for us that Gupta, who belongs to Jind, has been elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi.’
The family had moved to Delhi with father Jai Bhagwan
Manish Garg further said that we hope that his government will live up to the expectations of the people of Delhi. Let us tell you that when Rekha’s father Jai Bhagwan went to Delhi after becoming a bank manager, the family also moved to Delhi, so Rekha’s schooling, graduation and LLB studies were done in Delhi itself. He had defeated Aam Aadmi Party leader Vandana Kumari in the recently held Delhi Assembly elections.
