Government’s decision in view of G-20  (G-20) summit

New Delhi. In view of the G-20  (G-20) going to be held in Delhi, the Delhi government has declared holiday on 8th, 9th and 10th of September. For this, the Delhi Police had recommended to the government. The Special Commissioner of Delhi Police had sent a letter to the Chief Secretary. Now taking a decision, the Delhi government has announced a holiday for three days. There will be a holiday in all the offices of Delhi Government, MCD and government schools. Apart from this, due to VIP movement, there will be restrictions on many routes.

Special Commissioner of Traffic Police SS Yadav said that from 12 o’clock on the night of September 7, there will be no entry in Delhi area and other restricted or security places. Only vehicles of essential goods will get entry from the border. Trucks of milk, vegetables, ration, medicines and petroleum products will get entry. DTC buses will be diverted or terminated in areas adjacent to New Delhi. Interstate buses will also be stopped at Ghazipur, Sarai Kale Khan and Anand Vihar. Interstate buses of Haryana and Rajasthan will also be stopped at Rajokri border only.
Banks will also remain closed, but metro facility will be available
All private offices and institutions in Delhi will also remain closed during this period. Banks and financial institutions falling under the New Delhi district of Delhi Police will also remain closed. Shops and business departures will also be closed as per the pre-determined map in Delhi Police’s New Delhi district. During the G-20 summit, travel can be done by metro instead of road. An appeal has been made to use metro for places like airport, railway station, bus stand, hospital. Some metro stations like Supreme Court, Khan Market, Mandi House, Central Secretariat can be kept closed.
