New Delhi: A major accident has occurred in the Kolihan mine ( mine) of Hindustan Copper Limited in Neemkathana, Rajasthan. Many people have been injured in the accident that occurred due to breakage of the rope of the mine’s lift machine. There are reports of 14 people trapped in the mine. Information has been received about the lift falling down about 1875 feet. The rescue team has reached the spot. All nearby ambulances have been called to the spot. A team of doctors has also been prepared. According to the information, 6 people have been evacuated safely. All the top officials of KCC are said to be among the affected people.
There is information that these people are trapped
KCC unit chief GD Gupta is also among those trapped in the mine. Along with these, Chief Vigilance Officer Delhi Upendra Pandey, Deputy General Manager of Kolihan Mine AK Sharma are also trapped in the mine. Besides, journalist Vikas Pareek is also included among these 14 people, who entered the mine as a photographer team. Along with these, information has come to light that Vinod Singh Shekhawat, AK Baira, Arnav Bhandari, Yashoraj Meena, Vanendra Bhandari, Niranjan Sahu, Karan Singh Gehlot, Pritam Singh, Harsiram and Bhagirath are trapped.
The accident happened due to the machine being old!
Regarding the reasons for the incident, it is being said that the machines were old. This is why this accident happened. A vigilance team from Kolkata was present in the lift. The team had arrived to investigate. It is noteworthy that the head office of Hindustan Copper Limited is in Kolkata. The team of doctors at KCC Hospital has been put on alert mode. Doctors and staff have also been called from nearby hospitals.
Investigation was going on in the mines since Monday
According to the report, inspection work was going on in the mines from Somwal. This evening the Vigilance team including KCC Chief had descended into the mines. While leaving the mines at 8:10 pm, the lift chain broke. After which about 14 people are trapped in the mine.
