Ban on flying drones and UAVs  (Ban)

New Delhi. Ahead of the G20 summit, the Delhi Police has banned  (Ban) the flight of ‘paragliders’, ‘hang-gliders’ and hot air balloons etc. in the national capital from August 29 to September 12 due to security reasons. The officers provided this information. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora issued an order in this regard on Tuesday.

The order states that information has been received that certain criminals, anti-social elements or terrorists of the enemy of India are using ‘paragliders’, ‘paramotors’, ‘hang-gliders’, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), remotely piloted aircraft, hot air vehicles, etc. Using balloons, small-sized vehicles, or ‘para-jumping’ from vehicles, etc. can pose a threat to the safety of the public, dignitaries and important establishments.

There will also be a ban on flying drones. Section-144 has been imposed in the entire Delhi for 15 days to prevent these small objects from flying in the air in any way. These rules will be applicable in the whole of Delhi and action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules under section 188 of IPC.
As per the order, therefore the city police chief has banned the flight of such aerial devices over the jurisdiction of the national capital during the G20 summit and to do so under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (Indian Penal Code) Disobedience of order promulgated) shall be punishable under. The police said, “This order will come into effect from Tuesday and will remain in force till September 12.”

The G20 summit is to be held in Delhi on 9-10 September. Police said that a digital help desk has been set up for the movement of delegates and other tourists coming to the national capital during the summit. The traffic police said on its help desk, “Our mission is to ensure a smooth and seamless travel experience for residents and visitors during this historic event.”
