This digital beggar begs online on the pretext of ‘not holiday’

Patna: To avoid giving begging, people often say that there are no holidays, but this excuse does not work in front of a beggar from Bihar. Because this beggar also accepts digital payment. It may sound strange, but this is completely true. The name of the beggar who hangs the QR code of the e-wallet around the neck at Bettiah railway station in Bihar is Raju Prasad. Raju has been living at the station since childhood and makes his living by begging people.

Raju identifies as a digital beggar. According to him, people used to say that there are no holidays, so I got an account opened in the bank. Now Raju does not take free money from the people, but asks them to send begging money by scanning the QR code on the phone-pe. 40-year-old Raju has been living his life by begging at the railway station and other places for nearly three decades. He calls himself a fan of PM Modi and Lalu Yadav.

Being retarded, Raju did not have any job, so he made begging his job. Raju is being discussed all over the country because of his style of begging from QR CODE. He appeals to the passengers coming out of the station and bus stand for help. Raju says that since he has become a digital beggar, his earnings have increased.

Raju said, ‘Many times people refuse help saying that they do not have free money. Many passengers said that in the era of e-wallets like phone-pay etc., who now carries cash. That’s why I opened a bank account, as well as created an e-wallet. Now I beg through the QR code of Google Pay and Phone Pay etc.
