New Delhi: Astronaut Shubhanshu (Shubhhanshu ) Shukla said on Sunday that India still looks good from all over the world. He said this at the farewell ceremony organized for the astronauts of the ‘Axiom-4’ mission on the International Space Station (ISS). He said that India looks full of ambition, fearlessness, confidence and pride from space. Shukla, repeating the words of India’s first astronaut Rakesh Sharma in 1984, said, “Even today India looks ‘good from all over the world’ from above.”
A wonderful journey for me
Referring to his stay in the ISS (International Space Station), Shubhanshu Shukla said, “It seems magical to me. It has been a wonderful journey for me.” He said that he is taking with him a lot of memories and learnings, which he will share with his countrymen. He said, “I assure you that if we are determined, then even the stars can be achieved. See you soon on Earth.”
Will start the journey back to Earth tomorrow
After 18 days of intense scientific experiments on the ISS, it is time for Shubhanshu Shukla and three other astronauts of the ‘Axiom-4’ mission to bid farewell and they will start their return journey to Earth on Monday. Shukla and three other astronauts – Commander Peggy Whitson, Mission Specialists Slavoj Ujnanski-Wisniewski and Tibor Kapu from Poland and Hungary, reached the space station on June 26 under the ‘Axiom-4 Mission’.
Gratitude to those who made the mission possible
Shukla expressed gratitude to those who made this mission possible. He said, “The people present on the space station have made it incredible. It was a pleasure to work with professionals like you,” he said, thanking his Indian and international colleagues. He highlighted the mission’s scientific achievements, outreach efforts, and the wonderful experience that comes from viewing Earth from orbit. Shukla also thanked ISRO, Axiom Space, NASA, and SpaceX for making the mission possible, and the country’s students and researchers who contributed to the outreach and science programs.
