Dehradun : The district administration of Dehradun is continuously taking decisions one after another in public interest. Due to which people’s faith in the policies of the government and administration has increased. Inspired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s resolution of public service being paramount, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Basnal, along with his core team of administration, is continuously taking quick decisions in public interest, due to which people are getting easy justice and at the same time people’s faith in the policies of the government has increased. The unshakable and ardent efforts of District Magistrate Savin Basnal in public interest have increased the faith in the justice system of the government and the administration.
A fresh case came before DM Savin Basnal in the Janta Darshan of July 7, in which the widow complainant Renu told in her complaint that her husband Surendra Singh was permanently employed as an environment friend in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun and he died on 17 April 2025, she has two daughters and her financial condition has become very pathetic. She appealed to the Municipal Corporation for a job and submitted documents on which no action has been taken yet. On which the DM took immediate cognizance and summoned the Municipal Corporation officials and Tehsildar and directed for immediate action.
The reason for such a delay in the job was asked from the officials that when there is a provision for job from the deceased quota, then what objection does the Municipal Corporation have. The DM clarified that the job from the deceased dependent quota is the right of the widow Renu. He expressed displeasure over the delay in this and directed the MNA for immediate appointment. The DM sent the report to be sent from the tehsil to the Municipal Corporation. On which Renu has now got hope of getting a job soon in place of her husband.
People from far and wide are coming to the District Magistrate’s Janta Darshan program every Monday to get solutions to their problems. They are getting immediate solutions due to which the number of complainants in the Janta Darshan program is constantly increasing. Now complaints are not only received from the Revenue Department but also from other departments, private companies, institutions, on which the administration is always trying to find a solution.
