New Delhi. A disturbing incident came to light in Dimapur,( Dimapur) Nagaland. A large chunk of rock from the mountain fell on the cars parked on the road. Three cars were damaged in this accident, in which two people died while three others also suffered serious injuries. The video of this incident is becoming quite viral on social media. It can be seen in the video how a car was completely crushed due to the falling of a heavy rock.
After badly damaging the first car, this part of the rock also hit another car parked next to it. The second car became crooked after coming under the grip of the rock. People sitting in a car parked ahead of another rock part were injured. This video was captured in the camera mounted on the dashboard of another car at the back.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed grief over the incident. He wrote on Twitter, ‘Today at around 5 pm, serious damage was caused by a rock fall on the National Highway between Dimapur and Kohima. In this accident, 2 people died and 3 others were seriously injured. This place is known as ‘Pakala Pahad’. Landslides and rock falls often happen here.
The dead will get a compensation of 4 lakhs
