New Delhi. Indian woman wrestler  (Wrestler ) Seema Bisla has been banned for one year by the National Anti-Doping Agency’s disciplinary panel. This action has been taken for not sharing ‘whereabouts’ (information about the place of your stay) on the border which participated in the Tokyo Olympics.

The ADDP issued a decree banning the 30-year limit on 21 July. As per the latest list of athletes sanctioned by ADDP put on NADA website, Seema’s ban period has started on May 12. Seema had won a bronze medal in the women’s freestyle 50 kg category at the 2021 Asian Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She lost in the pre-quarterfinals of 50 kg at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

There are two types of ‘whereabout’ failure, including failure to provide residence and failure to provide a sample for doping testing. In Seema’s case, however, it is not known whether she has been found guilty in either case or both.
