Who is the king of NCP?(NCP)

Mumbai. After the split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)(NCP)  in Maharashtra, the political tussle between Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar continues. Describing themselves as the real NCP, both the camps are claiming the name and symbol of the party. Claiming NCP, Ajit Pawar faction had approached the Election Commission. On Junior Pawar’s petition, the Election Commission has now issued a notice to Sharad Pawar’s group seeking a response on his claim.

In fact, rebelling against the founder of NCP and his uncle Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar has joined the Eknath Shinde government of the state. During this, Ajit Pawar took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, while 8 NCP MLAs accompanying him were made ministers. Ajit Pawar then declared his faction as the real NCP, claiming the support of 40 MLAs.

After this Sharad Pawar took immediate steps and issued a disqualification notice against 9 NCP MLAs and two MPs, including Ajit Pawar, who took oath in the Maharashtra cabinet. Along with this, the party officials who went with Ajit faction were also thrown out.

Ajit group claims NCP from Election Commission
In such a situation, the Ajit Pawar camp has petitioned the Election Commission saying that most of the NCP MLAs, party members and district level officials are with them. That’s why they are the only legislative party and political party and in this case the name of NCP and ‘clock’ election symbol should be assigned to them.

Along with this, in a petition filed before the Election Commission, the Ajit Pawar faction claimed that on June 30, the party’s working president Praful Patel called a meeting of the national executive, in which Ajit Pawar was elected to the top post.

After this rebellion of Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar had said that he will not fight a legal battle, but will go directly to the public. However, now that the Election Commission has issued a notice to the Sharad Pawar group, they will have to join the legal battle.
