Prayagraj. Many big revelations have been made regarding the three accused who shot and killed Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf (Atiq and Ashraf) in front of the police and media. It is being told that these three have been identified as Arun Maurya, a resident of Kasganj district, Lavlesh Tiwari, a resident of Banda district and Rohit, a resident of Hamirpur district. All three have no prior criminal history. According to the information received, all three were doing Reiki after the application for police custody remand of Atiq and Ashraf was approved.
When the police started investigating after the murder of Atiq and Ashraf, some footage of these three was also found. Police has recovered one automatic and two semi-automatic pistols from these three. A pistol also had the facility of burst fire. The police has filed a case against these three attackers in Shahganj police station as a litigant. Let us tell you that gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed (60) and his brother Ashraf were shot dead on Saturday night by unknown assailants when the police were taking both of them to a medical college here.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while ordering a high-level inquiry into the incident, has given instructions to set up a three-member inquiry commission. At the same time, after the incident, prohibitory orders under section 144 have been implemented in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh. The incident of firing took place at around 10 pm which was caught on camera as media persons were accompanying the two while being taken by the police to the hospital for medical examination. In the video footage, three assailants are seen shooting both the brothers and both fall on the ground as soon as the bullet hits them. The bodies of both riddled with bullets were taken from the scene. There is tension in the area after this sensational murder.
