India and Australia are face to face in the final of the ICC Under-19 World Cup for the third time. Before this, both the countries had faced each other in the title match in 2012 and 2018. In 2012, Unmukt Chand played a captaincy inning of 111 runs and helped India win by 6 wickets, while in 2018, India defeated Australia by 8 wickets on the basis of Manoj Kalra’s unbeaten inning of 101 runs. This time too, India will expect similar performance from captain Uday Saharan. Uday Saharan is the highest run-scorer batsman in the current tournament. Apart from this, fans will also have their eyes on fast bowler Naman Tiwari. Let us tell you, left arm medium fast bowler ( fast bowler) Naman Tiwari, part of the Under-19 team, wants to bowl the fastest ball in the world.
Who is Naman Tiwari
Naman Tiwari, who made headlines in the Under-19 World Cup with his aggressive bowling, is a resident of Lucknow. Tiwari’s father is an agent in LIC and like a typical middle-class family, this only brother of three sisters was also under pressure to focus on studies but his heart was in cricket. Tiwari played an important role in India’s victory against Ireland in the current tournament by taking four wickets. Apart from this, his excellent yorker and speed also remain a topic of discussion.
Before Sunday’s final against Australia, Naman said in a special interview given to Bhasha, “Bumrah is an inspiration for us. I watch his bowling videos a lot. I have met him many times in NCA and learned from him the bowler’s mentality and He has talked a lot about skills. He has explained a lot which is useful.” Tiwari said, “He told me how to bowl accurate yorkers, on which I worked a lot. I have to work hard to bring more aggression in it.”
Wanted to make batsman
Eighteen-year-old Tiwari said that he actually wanted to become a batsman but due to not getting a chance to bat, he had to choose bowling. He said, “I started playing cricket as a batsman but I did not know how to bat. So I started bowling in the academy in Lucknow and since I work with my left hand, I became a left-arm fast bowler.”
Dream is to throw the world’s fastest ball
The aim of the Indian cricketer is to bowl the fastest ball in the world and for this he learns something from every fast bowler. He said, “I want to bowl the fastest ball in the world one day. I also have intentions of playing the World Cup with the senior team, but right now I have to focus on performance. I want to continuously improve my game because there will be more challenges ahead.” Bigger ones will come and we will have to prepare our base to face them.”
Happy with the team’s performance so far in the Under-19 World Cup, the bowler said, “So far the performance of all the players has been very good. Especially in the semi-finals against South Africa, we showed tremendous spirit. I am very happy that The team is playing like this and we will try to maintain this rhythm in the final also.”
