Jaipur. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has announced to give free electricity up to the first 100 units (First 100) to electricity consumers. In the election year, the Congress party is trying to give relief to the public. CM Gehlot said that the feedback was also received from the public regarding the fuel surcharge in the electricity bills in the month of May, on the basis of which a big decision has been taken. Earlier, the decision has been taken on the basis of the feedback received after discussing with the public in inflation relief camps.
Slight change in the slab-wise exemption available in electricity bills will give relief to the people. Elections will be held in Rajasthan this year itself and Congress has also become active along with other political parties on this occasion. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced that the electricity bill up to 100 units per month will be zero, that is, the consumers who spend electricity up to 100 units or less will get free electricity. On the other hand, those who consume more than 100 units per month will also get the benefit of this rebate and the first 100 units will get free electricity; Subsequent units will be charged.
Other fees will also be waived in Rajasthan
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that no matter how much the electricity bill comes, no fee will have to be paid for the first 100 units. Especially keeping in mind the middle class people, consumers who consume electricity up to 200 units per month, first 100 units of electricity will be free, along with fixed charges up to 200 units, fuel surcharge and all other charges will be waived and the state government will pay them.
