Maharashtra: On the question of whether Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra Pawar, would be made Deputy Chief Minister after his death, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ( Fadnavis ) said that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will take whatever decision needs to be made. We, as the government and the BJP, will stand firmly with whatever decision the NCP takes. Therefore, all I can say right now is that whether it’s Ajit’s family or the NCP, we are completely with them. We will give them the right support in whatever decision they take.
Fadnavis made a big statement
Fadnavis said that NCP leaders have discussed this with him twice. They will look at their party’s procedures and options regarding this matter. However, the final decision will be taken by their party. It is not appropriate for me to comment on that. Ajit Dada had done a lot of preparation for the budget. From tomorrow, I myself will focus on this and complete the process. This means that the finance department will remain with the CM, and he will also present the budget.

Sunetra Pawar may also become the national president of Ajit Pawar’s NCP
Most of the leaders of Ajit Pawar’s NCP are in favor of Sunetra Ajit Pawar taking over the post of Deputy Chief Minister along with the post of national president of the party. A parliamentary board meeting will also be held tomorrow at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, and there will be a discussion on making Sunetra Pawar the national president. There is speculation that discussions on both the Deputy Chief Minister and National President posts will take place tomorrow.
Parth Pawar may be given a big responsibility
Ajit Pawar and Sunetra Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, may be given a Rajya Sabha membership. Following Sunetra Pawar’s resignation from the Rajya Sabha, Parth Pawar will be nominated to fill the vacant seat. Meanwhile, Sunetra Pawar will contest the by-election for the Baramati assembly constituency whenever it is announced, a seat that became vacant after the death of Ajit Pawar.
