Kolkata: Junior doctors of RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, have ended their indefinite strike. The doctors have announced that they will return to work from Saturday after 41 days, i.e. after a month. According to the information, the junior doctors will withdraw their strike on Friday. They will return to work on Saturday. Emergency(Emergency medical ) services will resume from Saturday but OPD services will remain suspended.

OPD services will remain suspended for now

According to the information, a procession will be taken out by the junior doctors from the Health Building to the CBI office at 3 pm on Friday. From Saturday, junior doctors will only be in the emergency. Junior doctors are not joining the OPD immediately. On Friday afternoon, they will go back to their college from the Health Building and decide the SOP.

Warned the government of a big movement

The Federation of Trainee Doctors warned that if the culture of intimidation does not end within 7 days, we will start a big movement. The doctors have been protesting outside the Health Bhawan for more than several days and said that they will ask the CBI how long it will take to complete the investigation into the alleged rape and murder of trainee doctors at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

CM Mamata had met the doctors

Recently, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met the protesting doctors in the RG Kar Hospital case and appealed to them to end the strike. At the same time, the Supreme Court also asked the doctors to return to work.

Let us tell you that on August 9, a trainee female doctor was raped and murdered during duty at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. After this, the anger of the doctors erupted and they started protesting demanding action against the accused.
