Earthquake of 3.5 magnitude hits Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra

Jammu: Earthquake struck Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. However, the earthquake was not of great intensity. The National Center for Seismology has given this information. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at around 3.02 am. The earthquake occurred 84 km east of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. Its intensity was 3.5.
On the morning of February 12, an earthquake of 4.1 magnitude struck Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. The earthquake occurred at around 5.03 am in Tehri Garhwal region, 39 km east of Uttarkashi. The epicenter of the earthquake is latitude 30.72 and longitude 78.85 28 km. with the depth of. However, there was no report of any loss of life due to the earthquake. Earlier, there was a strong earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir as well.

The epicenter of this earthquake was near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, due to which very strong tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. Tremors of the earthquake were felt in Punjab and North India including Jammu and Kashmir. These tremors were so strong that people were seen coming out of their homes in fear at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh and Punjab.
