Bali: In Indonesia, the earth shook once again this morning. There was a strong earthquake (earthquake) in Bali, the capital of Indonesia, in the early hours, due to which people got scared. The intensity of this earthquake was 7.0. Reuters gave this information quoting the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). It is being told that this earthquake was so strong that everything from the house started shaking and people were seen running from their homes. The epicenter of the quake was 201 kilometers north of Mataram, Indonesia, and 518 kilometers (322 miles) below Earth’s surface, EMSC said. The US Geological Survey (USGS) has measured the intensity at 7.1.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 525 km below the epicenter near Bangsal, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Meanwhile, the US tsunami warning system said there was no danger. Let us tell you that earlier on Monday, mild tremors of earthquake were felt in Surguja district of northern region of Chhattisgarh. There is no news of loss of life or property in this incident so far.
Meteorological Department officials said that earthquake tremors were felt twice in the late evening near Ambikapur city, the headquarters of Surguja district. Officials told that the first shock came at 8.40 pm late in the evening. Its center was about 10 kilometers below the surface, nine kilometers away from Ambikapur. Its intensity has been measured at 3.8 on the reactor scale.
He told that the second tremor was felt at 8.26 pm. Its intensity was measured at 3.9 magnitude. Its epicenter was 10 km east of Ambikapur city at a depth of about 11 km. Officials said that both the earthquakes were of low intensity. There is a possibility of damage to raw houses due to this. Officials of Surguja district said that mild tremors were also felt in other districts of the division. On feeling the tremors of the earthquake, people came out of their homes.
