Australia vs Pakistan(Australia )

Australia: A 3-match ODI series is being played between Australia  (Australia ) and Pakistan. The first match of the series was played on 4 November in which the host Australia won over Pakistan by 2 wickets. In this match, captain Pat Cummins did wonders with both the ball and the bat and led his team to victory in a thrilling manner. Pat Cummins gave 39 runs in 9.4 overs, bowling 1 maiden and took the wickets of 2 batsmen. Due to the brilliant bowling of Cummins and Mitchell Starc, the Pakistan team could not even play the full 50 overs and was all out for 203 runs in 46.4 overs. After this, when the Australian team got into trouble while chasing the target, captain Pat Cummins took charge and took his team to the target despite the fall of 8 wickets. In this match, Cummins played a valuable innings of 32 runs with the help of 4 fours in 31 balls.

Captain changed suddenly

After winning the first match, Australia will now face the visiting Pakistan team in the second ODI where it will be eyeing to capture the series. The second ODI will be played in Adelaide on 8 November. However, before this match, Australia has changed its captain overnight. The command of the team has been handed over to 29-year-old Josh Inglis instead of Pat Cummins. Although Pat Cummins will be the captain in the second ODI, Josh Inglis will be seen captaining the team in the third match. Cummins will not be a part of the team in the third ODI. After the ODI series, Josh Inglis will also lead the team in the T20I series against Pakistan. Pat Cummins will not play in this series as well.

Focus on Border-Gavaskar Trophy
In fact, apart from Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Marnus Labuschagne will also not play in the third match of the ongoing three-match ODI series against Pakistan. This decision has been taken so that all these players can focus on the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In such a situation, fast bowlers Xavier Bartlett and Spencer Johnson have been included in Australia’s ODI team along with wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Phillip.
