Sachin did not get full reward for his hard work. The culmination of this came in the form of the Manesar rebellion. Before talking about Sachin, let’s take a look at the rebellious attitude of his father Rajesh Pilot. Rajesh Pilot, a friend of Rajiv Gandhi, remained in the Congress from his entry into politics till his last breath. However, following his principles, in the nineties, Pilot showed his attitude to the Gandhi family on several occasions. While Gehlot clashed with the Gandhi family for the first time in his 50-year political career on September 25 last year to save the CM chair. Rajesh Pilot contested the election for the post of Congress President in 1997 against Gandhi family-backed Sitaram Kesri. However, Pilot could not succeed in this and Sitaram Kesari defeated both his rivals Sharad Pawar and Rajesh Pilot.

Then Sonia Gandhi became active and became Congress President in 1998. In 1999, Sonia Gandhi won the elections from Bellary in Karnataka and Amethi in UP. After this, in the year 2000, in the election for the post of Congress President, Rajesh Pilot openly supported Jitendra Prasad who stood against the Gandhi family. But Prasad lost. Earlier in 1998, Sonia Gandhi had become active when she was elected the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and her support was given to family loyalist Ashok Gehlot. Due to the defeat, the pilots running on the back foot could not oppose it even if they wanted to.

Rajesh and Gehlot are perfect examples of how time takes a turn in politics and whose fortune it is. Although both became MPs in 1980, Sachin Pilot’s father never tied the knot with Gehlot due to being closer to Rajiv Gandhi. But today, after two decades, time has changed the condition of the country, the state and the Congress. Rajesh Pilot’s son Sachin is now challenging Ashok Gehlot, a favorite of the Gandhi family, in the Rajasthan Congress. The foundation of this political confrontation was laid in 2018 as soon as Gehlot became the CM. After this, Sachin Pilot’s historic rebellion was seen in Manesar during the Corona period. Like his father, Sachin rebelled for his principles only by staying in the Congress.

After a lot of maneuvering on the political board, the alleged agreement was reached, but the sourness in the hearts kept increasing. The pilots kept fighting politically with the titles of ‘traitor, worthless, corona’ met Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. According to political observers, due to the old confrontation with Rajesh Pilot, Sonia’s protection remained on Gehlot instead of Pilot. However, the pilots must have become close to Rahul-Priyanka. Priyanka Gandhi had also got the agreement to include Pilot’s supporting MLAs in the cabinet. But his stature in the party is not so big that he can take any decision against Gehlot. A big reason for this is also that Sachin has the support of very few MLAs as compared to Gehlot.
Again showed rebellious attitude by fasting against the government
The rebellion inherited from the father has once again hit the boil. Sachin Pilot has now shown his rebellious attitude by fasting openly against his own party’s government in the matter of corruption. It was then speculated that he may announce a new political plan after the fast and the wish of the third front of Ralopa supremo Hanuman Beniwal may be fulfilled. But Pilot made it clear that his fight was not with the Congress organization but with power. There is a fight against ‘collusion’ on corruption. Delhi Darbar has called him, but he is not in a position to take any action against the pilot. State in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, coming from Punjab, has only said that he will not allow Rajasthan to become Punjab.
