Team India won the T20 series

Dublin. Deepak Hooda scored the first century of his T20 International career on Tuesday. He scored 104 runs. On the basis of his aggressive innings, India defeated Ireland by 4 runs in a thrilling match in the second T20. In this way, the team captured the 2-match series 2-0. Team India had scored 225 runs for 7 wickets while playing first. Sanju Samson also scored 77 runs. In response, Ireland’s batsmen fought hard. But the team could only score 221 runs for 5 wickets. The team got victory on the last ball. This is also India’s fifth consecutive win over Ireland in T20.

Ireland got off to a great start chasing the target. Paul Stirling made 18 runs in the first over of Bhuvneshwar Kumar including one six and three fours. The team’s 50 runs were completed in the fourth over itself. Sterling and captain Andrew Balbirnie took the news of the Indian bowlers fiercely. Sterling fell victim to leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi on the fourth ball of the sixth over. He scored 40 runs in 18 balls. Hit 5 fours and 3 sixes. After 6 overs powerplay the score was 73 for one wicket.

Balbirnie’s fifty

Gareth Delany was out without opening the account. But after this Balbirnie and Harry Tector added 44 runs for the third wicket. Balbirni fell victim to Harshal Patel after scoring 60 off 37 balls. He hit 3 fours and 7 sixes. The team had to score 62 runs in the last 5 overs and 6 wickets were in hand. Tector was at the crease. He scored an unbeaten half-century in the first match.

 

Tector again played an important innings

Harry Tector held the team from one end. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the 16th over. Tector hit fours on the third and fifth balls. 10 runs were scored in the over. George Dockrell hit a six on the second ball of the 17th over. He again hit a six off the last ball. 14 runs were scored in the over. Now 38 runs were needed from 18 balls. Bhuvneshwar bowled the 18th over and gave away 7 runs. He took the big wicket of Tector. He scored 39 runs off 28 balls. Hit 5 fours. Added 47 runs off 21 balls with Dockert.

31 runs needed off 12 balls

Ireland had to score 31 runs in the last 2 overs. Harshal Patel bowled the 19th over and gave away 14 runs. Mark Adair hit a four and a six. Now 17 runs were to be scored in 6 balls. Umran Malik came to bowl the 20th over. Adair could not score on the first ball. No run on the second ball, but it was a no-ball. Four on the second ball. Now 12 runs were to be scored in 4 balls. Adair again hit a four on the third ball. Took a run off the fourth ball. Now 7 runs were to be scored off 2 balls. Dockrell took a run. Now a ball was needed for a six. But Adair could make only one. In this way India won the match by 4 runs. Adair remained unbeaten on 23 off 12 balls and 34 off 16 balls.

Big partnership of 176 runs

Earlier, India scored 225 runs for 7 wickets in the second and final T20 match with Deepak Hooda’s brilliant century. Hooda became the fourth Indian to score a century in T20 International cricket. He scored 104 runs in 57 balls. Hit 9 fours and 6 sixes. Sanju Samson played him well and played an innings of 77 runs in 42 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. India did not start well though. Ishan Kishan returned to the pavilion after scoring 3 runs. After this Hooda and Samson shared 176 runs in 85 balls and laid the foundation of India’s huge score.

 

Completed century in 55 balls

Putting pressure on the inexperienced bowlers of Ireland, both played the shots they wanted. Samson got life in the 9th over when leg-spinner Jareth Delany dropped his hard return catch. Earlier in the eighth over, Paul Stirling had dropped Hooda’s catch. Samson was out in the 17th over off Adair. Hooda completed his first century in 55 balls. Before him, only Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Suresh Raina have scored centuries for India in this format.
At the time of the fall of Hooda’s wicket, India’s score was 212 runs. Dinesh Karthik, Harshal Patel and Akshar Patel could not even open the account. India lost 3 wickets within 14 runs in the last 2 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed after scoring 15 runs while captain Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 13 runs.
