Delhi News: All Detainees Released Except CJP Leaders, Metro Gates Reopened; Liquor Shops to Open from October 11

New Delhi: Security restrictions in the national capital are being eased following the proposed protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). According to police sources, all people held at detention centres, except CJP leaders, have been released. Meanwhile, entry and exit gates at all Delhi Metro stations have reopened, restoring normal passenger movement. Retail liquor shops are also expected to reopen on October 11.

Legal Proceedings Against CJP Leaders to Continue

Police sources said that people detained in connection with the proposed protest have been released, except for CJP leaders, who remain in custody. Further action in their cases will be taken according to the prescribed legal procedure.

Entry and Exit Gates Reopened at All Delhi Metro Stations

As part of the security arrangements, entry and exit gates at 45 Delhi Metro stations had been closed, causing inconvenience to commuters.

The gates have now been reopened, and interchange facilities at the affected stations have also been restored. Passengers can once again use the metro network and change lines as required.

Liquor Shops Expected to Reopen on October 11

The Delhi government’s Excise Department had ordered retail liquor shops to remain closed on October 9 and 10 to maintain law and order. The decision was taken following inputs from Delhi Police.

The restriction covered government-run and privately operated retail liquor shops falling under the relevant licence categories. However, licensed restaurants, bars and clubs were exempt from the closure order.

With the scheduled closure period ending, retail liquor shops are expected to reopen on Sunday, October 11. Any additional official notification should be checked before confirming the final operating status.
