Team India clinches the series( series ) 

Guwahati: The Indian cricket team has registered a spectacular victory against New Zealand. With this win, Team India has clinched the T20I series.  ( series )   Powered by the explosive batting of Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, Team India defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets in the third T20I match played in Guwahati. Thus, India has taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the T20I series.

Batting first, New Zealand could only manage 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Team India chased down the target of 154 runs in just 10 overs, creating history. This means India defeated New Zealand with 60 balls remaining. This is Team India’s biggest T20I win at home in terms of balls remaining. Earlier, India’s biggest win in terms of balls remaining was against Bangladesh. In that match, Team India defeated Bangladesh with 49 balls remaining.

Abhishek and Surya hit explosive fifties
Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav played a crucial role in Team India’s emphatic victory. Both Abhishek and Suryakumar scored explosive half-centuries. Abhishek completed his half-century in just 14 balls. He became the second fastest Indian to score a half-century in T20I cricket. Abhishek scored an unbeaten 68 runs off 20 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Suryakumar Yadav played an unbeaten innings of 57 runs off 26 balls. He hit 6 fours and 3 magnificent sixes in his innings. The two star batsmen shared a blistering 104-run partnership off 40 balls for the third wicket.

Earlier, New Zealand’s innings got off to a very poor start. Apart from Glenn Phillips, no one else bothered to stay at the crease for long. Phillips scored 48 runs. Mark Chapman contributed 32 runs and captain Mitchell Santner added 27. For India, Jasprit Bumrah was outstanding with the ball, taking 3 wickets. Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi claimed 2 wickets each.
