Indian batsmen disappointed

Looking at the way Team India’s batsmen were performing in this Test series, everyone expected that India would achieve the target of 193 runs very easily. But the pressure of the fourth innings in a Test match is at a different level and something similar was seen during India’s batting. In the fourth innings, the Indian batsmen started falling apart under pressure. Be it Yashasvi Jaiswal or Shubman Gill or Karun Nair, no one tried to bat by staying on the crease.

KL Rahul in the top order and Ravindra Jadeja in the lower order tried to win the team to some extent, but they did not get support from any other batsman. In the end, the entire Indian team was reduced to 170 runs. For England, Archer took the maximum of 4 wickets in the second innings. Apart from him, Ben Stokes and Brydon Carse took two wickets each. Jadeja was the only hero of India’s batting in this innings, he remained unbeaten after scoring 61 runs in 181 balls.
