Human or robot…, Akhilesh Yadav?( robot)

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday condemned the suggestions advocating ’90 hours of work in a week’. Akhilesh Yadav raised the question whether such advice is for humans or robots. ( robot)  The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that the quality of work is more important.

Human wants to live with emotions and family
Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘Human wants to live with emotions and family. When the benefit of the progress of the economy is to be availed by only a few selected people, then whether the economy becomes 30 lakh crores or 100 lakh crores, what does it matter to the public.’

Entertainment industry contributes billions to the economy
Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘Entertainment and film industry also contribute billions of rupees to the economy. These people probably do not know that entertainment refreshes, re-energizes people which ultimately improves the quality of work.

Did you work 90 hours a week in your youth?

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that those advocating ’90 hours a week’ should first think whether they worked in such an environment in their youth. He questioned, ‘If they really worked 90 hours a week at that time, then why did our economy reach this level?’

The environment should be mentally healthy

Emphasizing the importance of balance in work and life, the SP chief said that a mentally healthy environment promotes creativity and productivity among the youth, which in turn helps in building a better nation. He said, ‘The boat of one who has a hole in it is bound to sink. There is no point in advising him to swim.’

Amitabh Kant had given this statement

Let us tell you that last week, the statement given by former CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant about working hours gave rise to a debate on this issue. Kant said that Indians should work hard to achieve the ambitious goal of making India a $30 trillion economy by 2047.

Indians should work 80-90 hours – Kant

Amitabh Kant said, ‘I strongly believe in hard work. Indians should work hard, whether it is 80 hours or 90 hours a week. If your ambition is to become an economy of four trillion to 30 trillion dollars, then you cannot do it by entertainment or following the ideas of some film stars.’
