Mahakumbh: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, (Brajesh Pathak ) who is handling the health department in the Uttar Pradesh government, said on Saturday that no case of skin disease has been reported after Maha Kumbh bath. Deputy Chief Minister Pathak said this in his address after inaugurating the two-day Vichar Maha Kumbh organized by a trust here. He mentioned the concerns raised by opposition leaders regarding the purity of the water of Sangam.
Many opposition leaders had made this claim. Actually, opposition leaders had claimed that many pilgrims fell ill after taking bath in Sangam. According to a statement issued here, Pathak praised the cleanliness drive carried out during the Kumbh Mela and said, “Despite the huge number of pilgrims, no case of skin disease was reported.”
Attacks on Indian culture are not happening from today – Pathak
He stressed on the purity of the Ganga and the success of the cleanliness measures implemented during the event. Pathak said that “attacks on Sanatan and Indian culture are not happening from today, various types of attacks have been happening for centuries. Our Vedas, Puranas, Shrutis and Smritis were attacked.”
Man is superior in our culture
Health Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “Excellent centers of education like Takshila and Nalanda were attacked, they were destroyed. The Mughals and the British tried their best to destroy it but our culture remained intact and it continued to show the path to the world. In our culture, man is superior, animals and trees are also a part of our family. The whole creation is our family. This is at the core of Sanatan.”
Devotees came from every corner of the world
Pathak said, ‘In Maha Kumbh, we saw a daughter-in-law carrying her 90-year-old mother-in-law on her shoulders. This is impossible in any other society or culture. People came to Maha Kumbh from East, West, North and South, not just the country, but from every corner of the world.’
Mahakumbh ended on 26 February
He said, ‘This global festival has become a symbol of India and Indianness. Since 2014, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the country has undergone a radical change. Today we have started saying with pride that we are Indians.’ Maha Kumbh, which started on 13 January in Prayagraj, ended on 26 February.
