Prayagraj: Thousands of students took to the streets of Prayagraj on Monday regarding the PCS Pre and RO RO exam by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. In protest against the decision to conduct the UPSC (UPSC ) RO RO exam for two days, the students started a sit-in protest at the gate of the Public Service Commission from Monday morning, which continued till late evening.

With the end of the day, thousands of students demonstrated their unity by lighting mobile torches. The students demand that the PCS Pre 2024 and RO and ARO Pre exams should be conducted in one shift in a day.
UPSC issued a statement
With the aim of protecting the purity of the examinations of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and the future of the students, the examinations are being conducted only at those centers. Where there is no possibility of any kind of irregularities.
The Commission said that in the past, many types of irregularities have come to light in far-flung examination centres, which makes the future of deserving students uncertain. To eliminate this and to conduct the entire examination on the basis of merit, these centres have been removed.
UPSC said that the intention of the government and the commission is to protect student interests and ensure selection on the basis of merit.
The selection process has been determined keeping in mind the interests of students and students in a completely transparent manner. The same process is followed by other prestigious commissions and institutions of the country.
The commission decided to conduct the examination in two shifts on the request of the candidates, keeping in view the importance of ensuring the purity of the examination.
The commission said that arrangements have been made to ensure that the candidates do not have to travel far to take the examination.
The commission said that anarchic elements, illegal coaching institutes, copying mafia are trying to mislead the competitive students by giving them misleading information. Students should be cautious of such information.
The commission welcomes the suggestions of the candidates in the context of normalization. Anyone who has any suggestion for improvement or better arrangements in this regard can give it to the candidates so that everything can be placed before a committee of eminent experts. Along with this, the commission said that whatever is necessary in the interest of the candidates will be followed.
