CEC meeting to be held again(CEC meeting )

New Delhi: While BJP’s first list has been released for Haryana assembly elections, Congress’ list is awaited. Haryana Congress’ sub-committee meeting lasted for about seven hours on Thursday. A sub-committee meeting may be held again on Friday to finalise the names of candidates. According to sources, Congress is also reconsidering the 66 seats that have already been finalised.

CEC meeting may be held

CEC meeting  (CEC meeting ) may also be held on Friday evening. It is being said that there will be a discussion on alliance with Aam Aadmi Party and tickets to some MPs. Even after the sub-committee meeting, tussle continues on many seats. A CEC meeting may be held to find a solution to this.

Discussion on alliance with AAP

At the same time, the Congress held intensive discussions on Thursday to explore the possibility of an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the Haryana Assembly elections. Some party leaders have objected to the alliance with AAP. The Congress sub-committee for Haryana consulted with several senior leaders. The sub-committee includes leaders like state AICC in-charge Deepak Babaria, T.S.Singhdev and Ajay Maken. While some leaders are in favor of an alliance with AAP to prevent division of votes, others have objected to it.

Many leaders of the state are against alliance with AAP

When Congress leader Captain Ajay Singh Yadav was asked about the talks of Congress-AAP alliance for the 2024 Haryana elections, he said, “AAP has no base in Haryana. I think why should we give them a place there? But if there is any compulsion then it is for the high command to decide whether they want to tie up with them in other states as well or not. AAP cannot cause any harm to Congress. Why should AAP be allowed to enter Haryana.

Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Randeep Surjewala said, “I do not need to comment, there is a process within the party, the party’s screening committee chairman and special committee are doing their work. Whatever we had to say, we have told them. Speaking further would be against the party discipline. Let us tell you that voting will be held on October 5 for 90 assembly seats in Haryana and counting of votes will be done on October 8.
