Srinagar: Security forces killed two terrorists early today in Alshipora of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. This encounter started late on Monday night. Which the Indian Security Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police countered with full force. Kashmir Police Zone had given information about the encounter in Alshipora through a post on X. After the encounter, a search operation  (operation) is underway by the soldiers. Let us tell you that earlier two terrorists were killed in Kulgam district.

Last Wednesday i.e. on October 4, two terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police had given this information. Police had said that the killed terrorists were identified as Basit Amin Bhat and Saqib Ahmed Lone. He told that both are residents of Kulgam district. A police spokesperson said the encounter began during the day when security forces launched a cordon and search operation following a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Kujjar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

He said that during the operation, the hiding terrorists started firing on the security forces, which was responded to effectively. The spokesperson said that in the encounter that started after this, two terrorists belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen were killed and their bodies were recovered from the spot. He said that incriminating documents, weapons and cartridges and two rifles of AK series were recovered from the spot. Kashmir’s Additional Director General of Police Vijay Kumar termed it a big success and congratulated the joint team of police and security forces.
