New Delhi. Former Chief Minister (Former CM) of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has made it clear on social media platform on Sunday that there is no truth in the claim being made about her daughter. He said that my elder daughter Irtika Mufti never worked in Omkara film. In fact, such claims were made in the social media that his daughter has acted in the film. Mehbooba Mufti said that I am proud that my brother Tassaduq had shot for Omkara, but nothing is more absurd than the lie that my elder daughter worked in it.
This post was shared on Twitter by Mehbooba Mufti, now called X. Mufti attacked social media user Imtiyaz Mehmood, calling him a ‘two-rupee troll’. In the original post, Mehbooba Mufti was accused of calling her ‘un-Islamic’. Along with two pictures in it, the post read: ‘These are the 2 daughters of Mehbooba Mufti. Irtika and Iltija Mufti. Became IFS through a backdoor and is now working in London. The second one acts in Bollywood, she was seen in the film Omkara. Both of them live a normal non-Islamic life, but Mehbooba Mufti wants all Kashmiri girls to wear burqa. Mehbooba Mufti has given a befitting reply to this.
Trolls with two rupees lie for them
Mehbooba Mufti has written on X that trolls worth two rupees lie for her. My younger daughter Iltija who was supposed to work as an IFS officer in London is in Kashmir since 2015. On the other hand, as for the second fake claim, I am proud that the film Omkara was shot by my brother Tassaduq Mufti, but nothing is more absurd than the lie that my elder daughter worked in it.’ Removed Article 370 in 2019. Ever since Mehbooba Mufti was detained before leaving, 35-year-old Iltija Mufti has become a prominent name in Jammu and Kashmir politics. Mehbooba Mufti, the first woman Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, was released after more than 14 months. Iltija was managing her mother’s social media accounts.
Iltija Mufti is in news due to legal battle for passport
Significantly, Iltija is once again in the news because of the legal battle for her passport. She was issued a UAE-specific passport as she wanted to pursue higher studies in the UAE. The validity of the UAE-specific passport was from 5 April 2023 to 4 April 2025. Iltija had appealed for a regular passport which was granted to her two days back. Irtika, Mehbooba’s second daughter, is trained as a screenwriter. Mehbooba’s brother Tassaduq Hussain Mufti worked as a cinematographer in Omkara and Kaminey. Later he became the tourism minister of the then Jammu and Kashmir between 2017-2018.
