2 terrorists killed during encounter(terrorists)

New Delhi. The Indian Army got a major success against terrorists  (terrorists) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Security forces killed terrorist Bashir Ahmed Malik under Operation Kali. His companion Ahmed Ghani Shaikh was also killed during the encounter. The army is taking action on a large scale against the terrorist infrastructure and terrorist supporters in the valley. It was told that special intelligence information was received from the Army and SB, Srinagar regarding the possibility of infiltration of terrorists from across the Line of Control in Uri sector. In view of this, this action was taken by running a joint operation on the morning of 15th November.

Colonel Raghav, Commanding Officer of the Army’s 8th Rashtriya Rifles, said during a media briefing in Uri, ‘Malik has been active for more than three decades and was spreading Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He was an important terrorist launch commander for terrorist organizations from Lipa in the north to the areas of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir opposite Rajouri in the south.’ The Army said that Malik helped countless terrorists infiltrate into India through the LoC. Due to which many Indian citizens and security personnel have lost their lives.

The Army said that repeated infiltration attempts were being made from the same area in Uri sector of Baramulla district, which is a demonstration of the enemy’s desperation to send more terrorists to disturb the existing peace in the Kashmir Valley. Colonel Raghav further said, “We have a strong Line of Control security grid and we are under strict surveillance. The Indian Army is fully prepared to foil any such attempt of infiltration and we will not let the enemy succeed in its shameful plans.
