2 dreaded monkeys involved in killing of puppies caught


MUMBAI: Will the war between dogs and monkeys in Beed, Maharashtra, which has been going on for 3 months, stop now? The forest department team has caught two dreaded monkeys involved in the killing of more than 250 puppies and puppies. This gang war among animals started when some dogs killed a monkey’s child in a village here.

The forest department has caught two monkeys involved in the ‘revenge killing’ of more than 250 puppies. Beed Forest Officer Sachin Kand said, “Two monkeys involved in the killing of dogs in Beed have been caught by the team of Nagpur Forest Department. Both the monkeys are being sent to Nagpur and will be released in the nearby forest.
In Beed’s Lavul village, monkeys attack dogs and kill their puppies. These monkeys used to take the puppies to tall trees or houses and slam them on the ground from there. A local said, “There have been several incidents in the last 2-3 months when langurs used to pick up the puppies roaming in the area and climb to very high places and throw them to death. At least 250 dogs and puppies have been killed so far.

Later they also started attacking school going children, after which people complained to Dharur Forest Department. Many memes are also being shared on social media regarding this incident.
