Fire brought under control
According to the information received, the fire has been extinguished and no patient has suffered any harm. Admitted patients have been shifted. There has been no loss of life due to the fire. Cooling work is being done.
DCP South Nipun Agarwal’s statement came out
In this case, DCP South Nipun Agarwal’s statement has come out. He said that tonight at around 10 o’clock, Krishnanagar police station received information that a fire broke out in Lokbandhu Hospital under it. After which immediate action was taken and the fire was controlled. People were rescued. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak reached Lokbandhu Hospital, statement came out
Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak himself has reached Lokbandhu Hospital and has taken stock of the situation. Brijesh Pathak said, ‘Smoke was seen on the ground floor. The hospital staff immediately started shifting the patients. About 200 patients have been shifted. Critical patients have been sent to KGMU. Some have also been sent to Civil Hospital. There is nothing to worry about right now. Firefighters are inside the building and the work of extinguishing the fire is going on. There are no casualties. All patients are safe. 2-3 patients who were serious have been shifted to the ICU ward of KGMU.
