The team of PWD officers did the measurement work for about 40 minutes. Burke’s new house is one and a half to two years old and this house has been built without a map. Before the measurement, Burke was called 15 times and sent three notices in this matter so far. But despite this, he has not yet submitted any papers in this regard.
If the allegations against Burke are proved right then…
Burke is accused of not taking permission from the regulated area for new construction in the house. He was building such a big house without a map. While Burke claims that this house is not in his name, but he has not been able to provide proof of this till now. The house has been inspected, a report of which will be prepared and submitted to the SDM. The hearing of this case will be held in SDM court on April 5 and only after that the decision on bulldozer action will be taken. In the illegal house case, it is not just about bulldozer action, if these allegations are proved right then Burke can be in big trouble.
Burke’s MP seat can also be in danger
Burke is accused of building a house without getting the map approved which is a violation of Regulation of Building Operation Act. And if Burke’s house is built against the rules then bulldozer action can be taken on it and if the allegations are proved then his MP seat can also be in danger. That is why Burke is trying his best to save himself. Seeing himself getting trapped in the case, he is now claiming that the house is not in his name.
Burke is applying that the house work was done during the time of grandfather Shafiqur Rahman Rahman Burke. Therefore, Ziaur Rahman Burke’s father Mamlukur Rahman Rahman should be made a party. Mamlukur Rahman Burke has also applied to be made the heir. This has been rejected by the SDM. Burke’s side has appealed against this decision in the District Magistrate Court, the hearing on this is to be held on 4th April
