Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has filed a chargesheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others in the money laundering case related to the National Herald  ( National Herald) case. Further hearing in this case is scheduled for April 25 in the court. Congress is furious over ED’s action against its leaders. Congress leaders have called it a politically motivated action. At the same time, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has announced a protest across the country on Wednesday against this action.

In the notice issued by Congress leader KC Venugopal, it has been said that “The property of National Herald has been seized arbitrarily and unjustly by the Modi government. Along with this, a chargesheet has been given against the party leadership. Congress condemns this move. This is not a matter of legal process but a state-sponsored crime in the name of rule of law. This move is a direct attack on the idea of ​​democratic opposition and an attempt to intimidate by the ruling party. This is nothing but revenge politics.”

Instruction to protest
The notice issued by KC Venugopal said- “All Pradesh Congress Committees are instructed to protest in front of ED offices in the respective states and in front of Central Government offices at the district level on Wednesday, 16 April. Senior leaders, MLAs, MPs and other office bearers and Congress workers of the respective state should join this protest and register strong protest against the government’s revenge and intimidation politics.”

What did the BJP say?
On this entire matter, BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said- “ED is working according to the law. Strict action will be taken by law against those involved in money laundering in the National Herald case. No one can be spared just because he belongs to a particular family. Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma said, “Whether it is a big person, a leader, an officer or a common man, the action of the law is the same for everyone. The institutions are completely independent. Neither the government puts pressure on them nor do they take instructions directly from the government. This matter is not politically motivated.”
