Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that anything is possible in politics about joining Sharad Pawar. At the same time, when he was asked why Sharad Pawar praised the RSS, he said that perhaps Sharad Pawar ( Sharad Pawa ) must have realized how the atmosphere he had created ended in a moment. When he realized this power, he must have praised the competitor as well.
Devendra Fadnavis said during an interview on the birth anniversary of late Vilas Fadnavis in Nagpur that Sharad Pawar is Chanakya, he must have definitely studied how the atmosphere created by them got punctured in a minute, what is the power behind it, then he realized that the power is not the power of regular politics. This is a nationalizing power, so he must have praised it. Fadnavis said that one should also praise the competitor. There is nothing wrong in this.
What did he say about being close to Sharad Pawar?
During this interview, Devendra Fadnavis was asked whether his closeness with Sharad Pawar will increase? In response to this question, he said, “I tell you that if you have heard my statements after 2019, they were clear. The reason for this is that from the events that have happened from 2019 to 2024, I understood that nothing is impossible. Do not think that nothing will happen, anything can happen. It is not like it should happen, but anything can happen. Uddhav Thackeray can go there, Ajit Pawar can come here. Anything can happen in politics, it is not like it should happen, it is also not good to happen like that, but in politics it should be kept in mind that when we say firmly that this will not happen, then there is no guarantee where the political situation will take you.” Which events was Fadnavis referring to? Devendra Fadnavis was referring to the changes that have taken place in the politics of Maharashtra in the last five years. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP and Shiv Sena were together and their alliance also got a majority, but things went wrong regarding the CM post and the alliance broke. First Fadnavis took oath as CM, but could not prove majority. After this, Uddhav Thackeray formed the government by forming an alliance with Congress and NCP, but after some time there was a split in Shiv Sena and NCP. Most of the Shiv Sena MLAs sided with Eknath Shinde and separated from Uddhav. At the same time, NCP MLAs separated from Sharad Pawar under the leadership of Ajit Pawar.
The government changed again in Maharashtra and Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis became Deputy Chief Ministers. In 2024 also, Shinde, Ajit Pawar contested the elections in alliance with BJP and this alliance won with a huge majority. However, this time the Chief Minister is Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar are Deputy Chief Ministers.
