Mumbai. The loudspeaker controversy is getting deeper in Maharashtra. Raj Thackeray had given an ultimatum to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3, its life is being fulfilled today. Raj Thackeray had said that if anything happens after this, then we will not be responsible for it. On the other hand, Maharashtra Police has given indications of taking this controversy forward by registering a case against Raj Thackeray. Now MNS workers have threatened that if action is taken against MNS chief Raj Thackeray, they will show the government his place.
Talking to reporters, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Thane district unit president Avinash Jadhav criticized Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on the issue. Jadhav claimed that it was Bal Thackeray, who was the first to demand removal of loudspeakers from mosques, but his son (Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray) has filed a case against Raj Thackeray.

Some MNS party leaders targeted the Maharashtra government and said that they would take to the streets if further action is taken against their party chief. In a rally in Aurangabad on May 1, Thackeray had asked people to play Hanuman Chalisa outside mosques from May 4 if loudspeakers were not removed from them.
Aurangabad Police on Tuesday registered a case against Raj Thackeray under sections 153 of the Indian Penal Code and other sections. Reacting to this, Jadhav said, “It was expected because the way these people (government) were harassing us while giving permission for the rally, they wanted to register a case against Raj Sahab. The next step may be his arrest but our aim is purely social.
Jadhav said, MNS workers will take to the streets… every Hindu will also do the same and show the government its place. MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said the party always knew that Raj Thackeray would be booked as the conditions prescribed for the rally were strict. “The government will see the struggle of our party workers on the streets. We are not afraid of affairs. The action is to scare us. We will not bow down… there will be a protest.
