Be it Jaisalmer of Rajasthan, or Arunachal Pradesh or Kutch area of Gujarat… whatever may be the circumstances on the border of our country… Home Minister Amit Shah’s strategy has always been that the securityon the borders should always be strong. In this series, Home Minister Amit Shah has made a foolproof plan to strengthen maritime security in Kutch, (Creek ) Gujarat.
Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday visited the sensitive Sir Creek and Harami Nala in Kutch district and laid the foundation stone of a Rs 257 crore mooring place here. This mooring place will help in the service and maintenance of more than 400 water vehicles and floating BOPs (Border Out Posts) manned by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the coastal border with Pakistan.
What is the specialty of Mooring Place
After the Bhoomi Pujan of the 60-acre mooring place at Koteshwar, Amit Shah said, ‘Once it is ready, boats used by the Marine Corps of BSF can be easily maintained in the border area… You have more than 400 water vessels and this facility will help in keeping them in good condition.
The anchorage will include administrative building, officers’ mess, canteen, parade ground, training center and a workshop for watercraft and floating BOPs operated by BSF at Sir Creek. Each floating BOP can carry around 30 personnel and several monitoring equipment.
The Home Minister visited the Sir Creek area here. During this, the team of News18 India also became a part of the brave patrolling team of BSF, which protects the Indian borders in the midst of dangerous waves. During this patrolling, jawans were also talked to, in which they told that ‘Fishermen often enter India from Pakistan’s side, we always keep an eye on them’.
Coastal security most important for the country
Amit Shah said that the BSF has been given the responsibility of guarding the borders in areas where the temperature ranges from minus 43 degrees Celsius to minus 43 degrees Celsius and they are responsible for securing the Sunderbans (in the east) and areas adjacent to the Harami Nala. Stay alert for. He said that after the partition of India, the BSF was given the responsibility of guarding the country’s borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
He said, ‘Coastal security is of paramount importance for the country. Many important institutions, nuclear stations, missile launch areas, research centers, industries and ports are located on the coast of Gujarat. It is important to protect them 24×7 for 365 days.
