New Delhi: According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions will continue in(states) Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and many other areas for the next 5 days. IMD has predicted heat wave in Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim. Heat wave conditions will continue in Punjab and Haryana as well. According to IMD, a fresh Western Disturbance is active, due to which it may rain in the Western Himalayas and the surrounding plains. Due to this weather system, the plains of North-West India may also get some respite from the heat and scattered rains may occur.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are forecasts of cloudy weather in the capital Delhi and its surrounding areas today and tomorrow. During this, IMD has also predicted dust storm and scattered rain. Due to this, the maximum temperature will decrease by up to 3 degree Celsius. Hail and lightning are also likely to fall at some places. According to private weather agency Skymet, at present a cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and Rajasthan, along with a trough is extending from Maharashtra to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Hail can fall with storm and water in Delhi
The weather agency Skymet told that a mixture of cold and warm clouds has formed over Jammu and Kashmir, which is moving forward. These weather conditions are creating a favorable environment for thunderstorms and rains over the plains of North-West India. The effect of this weather system can be seen in Delhi and its surrounding areas from today. According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in Delhi-NCR from April 19 to 21. There is a possibility of strong winds and scattered rains with thunder and lightning in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan. Hail may also fall.
Weather will change in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan as well
In some districts of Uttarakhand, the weather may change from today. According to the forecast of IMD, there may be rain and hailstorm in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag. IMD has issued forecast of thunderstorms and strong winds in four divisions of Rajasthan. There may be thunderstorm and light rain activities in some areas of Jaisalmer and Bikaner. Sriganganagar remains the hottest district in Rajasthan. The maximum temperature here has been recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees Celsius higher than normal. Apart from Sriganganagar, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of winds blowing at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour and scattered rain in Shekhawati. Due to this, a drop of 2 to 4 degree Celsius can be recorded in the temperature.
