New Delhi. Expressways will now be the new centers of industrial development in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh ( UP) Expressways Industrial Development Authority has identified space for 30 industrial corridors along 5 expressways in the state. They have been notified by Yogi Adityanath government. UP Yogi Adityanath government has also released Rs 200 crore to the concerned 6 DMs for acquiring land. The process of fixing the rates for purchasing land at the district level is currently going on.
According to the government’s plan, these 30 industrial corridors will be built along the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway and Ganga Expressway. There will be many benefits of building an industrial corridor along the expressway. It will be very easy for the industrial units to be established here to transport their goods through express. There is expected to be a tremendous boom in the property market in the places where these corridors will be built. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will spend an estimated amount of more than Rs 7,000 crore on these.
There will be industrial corridors at 11 places on Ganga Expressway.
Eleven places on the Ganga Expressway, connecting a total of 12 districts of the state, have been selected for industrial corridors. Their total area is 1522 hectares. It is estimated that around Rs 2300 crore will be spent on this.
Six places selected on Bundelkhand Expressway
Six places along the Bundelkhand Expressway connecting 7 districts of UP have been identified for industrial corridors. About Rs 1500 crore will be spent on these corridors to be built on 1884 hectares.
The Agra-Lucknow Expressway of the state passes through 10 districts. Five sites on this expressway have been selected for the construction of industrial corridors. Their total area is 532 hectares. The state government will spend about Rs 650 crore on their development.
Industrial corridor will also be built on Purvanchal Expressway
5 places have been identified for industrial corridor on Purvanchal Expressway connecting 9 districts. These corridors will be built on 1,586 hectares and Rs 2300 crore will be spent on them. Similarly, two places along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway have been selected for setting up industrial centres. Rs 320 crore is likely to be spent on the development of these two corridors spread over a total of 345 hectares.
