The suspects have been identified as Masoom Billa (32), Mohammad Syed Sheikh (25), Rezaul Sheikh (40), Rasal Mridha (38) and Kabir Ghazi (40). He said tensions escalated after Friday prayers over the Facebook post and a group of people from the Muslim community staged a protest in the afternoon. Later they attacked the houses. Last year, some Hindu temples in Bangladesh were vandalized by unidentified Muslim extremists during Durga Puja celebrations, forcing the government to deploy paramilitary forces in 22 districts.
