New Delhi: After being suspended for almost 2 years after the Corona epidemic, now international flights are likely to resume regularly from March 15. According to sources, the officials will follow the Standard Operation Procedure that is applicable at Indian airports for foreign arrivals and departures.
It is being told that the decision to resume regular international flights has been taken by the Ministry of Civil Aviation after consultation with the Ministry of Health after the decline in the cases of Kovid. However, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has not made any official announcement regarding this yet.
Sources said that although regular international flights will resume from March 15, the guidelines regarding the arrival of foreign nationals, which are in force from February 14, will be followed as before.
Earlier it was said that the ban on international flights will remain in force till February 28. Which was imposed from 23 March 2020 due to the COVID crisis. However, since July 2020, special passenger flights are continuing between India and about 40 countries under the air bubble arrangement.
On February 14, the Union Health Ministry has issued new guidelines for travelers coming from abroad and done away with the requirement of 7-day home quarantine and RT-PCR test on the 8th day. Apart from this, the countries included in the risk category have been removed.
